I have been working in the internet industry since the mid-90′s in project and account management, operations and marketing and have recently returned to my roots: building websites. In the past two years, I have built dozens of websites and blogs for entrepreneurs, artists, wellness professionals, consultants and writers. I approach all projects as consulting engagements, assisting my clients to articulate their business and marketing requirements and translating those requirements to online design and functionality.
A bit more about me:
Family: I am a busy mom to two delightful boys, one of whom has multiple disabilities. I occasionally profile them in my personal blog found at http://johannesen.ca/yesorno.
Education: I support the principles of Waldorf education and am active in the social and administrative life of the Alan Howard Waldorf School, where one of my sons is enrolled.
Disability-related Advocacy: I am an accomplished public speaker and presenter and have presented at dozens of disability/healthcare conferences, large and small. As the mother of a child with multiple and significant disabilities, I have a lot of thoughts about how we look upon and treat these most vulnerable members of our families and communities. You’ll find my personal blog here. I can speak on many different topics and often use humour, story-telling and compelling visuals to good effect. Contact me if you’re interested in learning more.
